Helping people learn and teach effectively in the age of AI.

Nina Bach, M.A. in Educational Science

I have over a decade of experience working with instructors and students.

Based in France, I work online across Europe.

I offer workshops, coaching, and learning resources in English and German.

Why? Because we are all searching for clarity.

"This information crisis is going to be going on for the rest of our lives."

— Naomi Alderman

We live in a world flooded with information that is not always reliable. Twenty years ago, teachers were telling students not to quote Wikipedia. Ten years ago, we started talking about fake news. Today, AI chatbots share ideas with us directly without any guarantee of their correctness or wisdom.

Everyone is affected by this, and it is upending our educational system.

Teachers are struggling to motivate their students to think when AI can do it for them.

Students are overwhelmed by choice and high expectations.

We're searching for clarity and calm in a world where apps are designed to be addictive, every search returns more information than a human mind can ever process, and AI offers a way out of the overwhelm.... at the price of overreliance.

All of my work is centred around helping people find clarity in the chaos.

Workshops & Speaking

I offer online faculty development workshops for instructors in higher education, as well as study skills workshops for students.

I also speak at conferences and events across Europe.

Whether you work with instructors, students, or both, I'd be happy to work with you.

I am a native speaker of both English and German and offer my services in either language.

Coaching

A single coaching session can help untangle problems that once seemed too complicated to solve.

In one-on-one online coaching, we take a calm and structured look at how you currently approach your work and what might be getting in your way.

Common topics include:

  • Struggling with large projects such as a thesis

  • Procrastination, feeling stuck, or feeling blocked

  • Perfectionism, self-criticism, and other mindsets that hold you back

  • Building supportive, sustainable work habits

  • Test anxiety and other forms of performance anxiety

Together, we develop approaches that are realistic, sustainable, and tailored to you. I'm trained in person-centred counselling, which means I listen carefully and without judgement. I combine this with a structured, practical approach focused on helping you move forward.

Sessions take place online via Zoom or voice calls. I work in English and German.

If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you. The first 15-minute introductory call is free, giving us the chance to see whether we're a good fit.

About

Nina Bach

I grew up in Poland, the United States, Canada, and Germany. As a child, I had to learn quickly and rebuild my life from scratch several times. Perhaps that's part of why I chose to study education—I wanted to understand how to bring clarity to a complex world.

As an adult, I still choose to lead an international, intercultural life. I spent twenty years in Germany completing my formal training and gaining over a decade of experience working with students and instructors. I've recently hopped across the border to sunny France and am loving the opportunity to learn new things all over again.

AI is another challenge that I initially resisted (to be perfectly honest) but have since come to deeply appreciate. I don't think AI has created new problems in education. Instead, I believe it is revealing the weaknesses that were already there.

The transition we're living through today is an amazing opportunity to build a fairer, more equitable world where instructors, students, and workers can truly thrive.
